When performing an engine rebuild we highly recommend changing the detonation sensor and harness.

A bad oxigen sensor can directly affect the performance and fuel economy of your car. It is recommended that these are changed in PAIRS every 90k miles or at the time of a major engine service.

The OEM PCV valves should be replaced every 60k miles. Over the years the PCV valves start to get clogged, the springs start to fail and this may be the cause of excessive crank case pressure and smoking exhausts. When replacing the PCV valves we recommend that all the hoses be replaced as well as these tend to become brittle over time and break during their removal.

These kits include 2 valves and 5 hoses. Please note that the TT and NA kits are different.

The ECU water temperature sensor is often prone to problems such as corroded or even broken connectors. A bad sensor can cause bad performance (hessitation amongst other things) and rough idle. If you have a Fault Code 13 or if you are rebuilding your engine you will want to replace this sensor.

The gauge sensor sends a signal to the dash mounted water temp gauge. If the sensor becomes corroded or fits poorly it may send an incorrect signal to the gauge which could potentially fail to warn you in the event of an over heating engine.

For your convenience we have put all filters together in one convenient bundle.

The Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) regulates the fuel pressure in the fuel rails. If your ZX hessitates on full throttle or suddenly has bad fuel economy then you may need to change the FPR.

The Fuel Damper (FD) reduces fuel pulsations in the fuel lines. If your ZX has irregular idle problems or loss of power then you may need to change the FD.

The PTU controls the ignition sparks to the coilpacks. Early units (Series I - with aluminium cooling fins) were prone to fail and were subject to a recall by Nissan. Symptoms of PTU failure include the engine cutting out when at operating temperature and the restarting only when the engine has cooled down somewhat. This kit includes the PTU, both wiring harnesses and fixing plate/screws for a direct swap.
